Rallou is a relatively rare form of the Greek name Heraclea (or Heracleia), which arose from Heracleia (an ancient festival honoring Heracles, aka Hercules in Anglicized usage). Alternatively, Heracleia may have older roots and have its origin from the name of Hera who was Zeus's wife in Greek mythology.
